With an acre of land purchased and protected for the small sum of £100 means we will save over 170 acres of land for conservation each year – the equivalent to 2,720 tennis courts. In order to help us get to our target of 1,000 acres, you too can join us in this pledge by matching our donation during the order stage.
World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation charity that protects the world’s most biologically important and threatened habitats acre by acre.
Since its foundation in 1989, World Land Trust has funded local partner organisations around the world to create reserves and give permanent protection to existing mature forests, habitats, and wildlife.
Patrons of the scheme include Sir David Attenborough, Chris Packham, Steve Backshall and David Gower.

The concept of buying land for conservation pioneered by the World Land Trust and its project partners has been instrumental in the purchase and protection of more than 600,000 acres of tropical forest and other threatened habitats. The ‘Buy an Acre’ scheme ensures that more than four million acres of land is managed under active protection worldwide.
All donations to ‘Buy an Acre’ go to local partners in areas such as Argentina, Ecuador and Mexico to secure acres of land where the rainforest is gradually disappearing to create permanently protected nature reserves.
