With options for both lipped and flush casement styles, our timber casement windows provide exceptional versatility for any home style.
Their outward-opening design delivers outstanding ventilation and unobstructed views, while creating a superior weather seal when closed. With impressive thermal performance exceeding building regulations, these windows help reduce energy costs.
Each window is completely bespoke, environmentally friendly, and built to last over 60 years with minimal maintenance.
Contact usAll of our products are manufactured using FSC® 100% engineered laminated timber. We offer redwood (Scots Pine) and hardwood (Dark Red Meranti) and both have the same extensive warranty.
When comparing the two materials, our hardwood has more of an open grain structure meaning it gives more of a textured finish, particularly when stained.
Get in touchOur double glazed timber windows and doors exceed the new Part L 2023 building regulations and can achieve impressive U-values starting from 1.2 W/m²K – which is 15% better than the guidelines.
Whereas our triple glazed windows and doors achieve U-values starting from 0.8W/m²K which is 43% better than what’s stipulated in the regulations.
Our timber windows are naturally renewable, carbon neutral and made from only sustainably sourced FSC® 100% certified softwood or hardwood. The care and attention we give to our timber before and during the manufacturing process ensures a 60 year+ life span, 10-year warranty and low maintenance for life.
SustainabilityBoth our casement and sash windows exceed energy efficiency standards. Casement windows typically offer marginally better thermal performance due to their compression seal mechanism, but both styles provide excellent insulation with our high-performance glazing options.
Sliding sash windows are typically associated with Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian properties as they offer a traditional look. While casement windows are often used in modern properties, flush casement windows are historically accurate for many cottage and farmhouse styles. Our heritage designs can be tailored to match the specific style of your home.
They are a completely different opening mechanisms for our sliding sash windows. The cords and weights option has wider jambs to hold the lead or steel weight, but there is no difference in the warranty we offer.
Absolutely. Many homeowners choose sliding sash windows for street-facing elevations and casement windows for less visible aspects of the property. Our design team can help create a cohesive look across different window styles.
If your property is listed or in a conservation area, you’ll likely need planning permission to replace your windows. We can provide detailed specifications and drawings to support your planning application and have extensive experience working with conservation officers.
Both window styles are designed for low maintenance with our factory-applied finishes. Sliding sash windows have more moving parts and may require occasional attention to maintain smooth operation, while casement windows have simpler mechanisms.
