Covid-19 Update & FAQ

Further to the Government’s removal of the final Covid-19 restrictions and move to their new Living with Covid-19 plan, we are pleased to reopen our full suite of services whilst still taking sensible precautions to ensure the safety of our staff and customers.

Our offices reopened on Monday 11th May 2020, and whilst we have made some changes to the way in which we work to improve our service and introduced new procedures that ensure the safety of our staff and our customers, we are still offering the same high quality timber windows and doors made from only sustainable FSCⓇ100% certified wood and continue to do so on a 6-8 week lead time from order.  

During our period of closure, we established new safe working practices that would allow us to return to operations. Practices and procedures that were implemented immediately upon our reopening. On site sales appointments with our Trade Sales Manager Paul Lyon-Hayes are once again be available. You can make an appointment for Paul to come to site and discuss your project by calling him directly on 07977 543620. 

Our Rotherham showroom is also open on an appointment only basis, Monday to Friday from 9am until 4pm; if you wish to make an appointment to visit our showroom appointments are live and available on our website to book now

Our on-site service appointments are operating as normal. The priority in reopening our home & site service visits remains the safety of our staff and you our customers, so our engineers will continue to self isolate if they exhibit symptoms, test positive, or come in to contact with anyone who has tested positive.

Order collections from our head office depot are available as normal. Collections will be available between 9am and 4pm daily and must be arranged with our Logistics Manager Simon Fisher with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice on 07703 829160. 

If you are having your delivery to site, our deliveries will remain contactless until such as time as social distancing measures are completely removed so you won’t need to sign for your delivery; instead, your delivery driver will take a picture as proof of delivery on arrival.

As showroom visits were unavailable throughout the lockdown period, we opened the doors to our new Virtual Showroom. Need to see or show a sample? By using our virtual showroom you can. What's new at Bereco

Our Rotherham showroom has been extended to include more of our timber window and door range. You can now see our Traditional Sash Windows, Lipped French Doors and Tilt and Turn Windows in our new showroom area. On Tuesday 6th April 2021 we introduced a new procedure for placing a warranty claim. Our new warranty claim form is available to complete online accessible from the Care & Advice section of our website. This new and improved part of our aftersales service will help us handle claims more efficiently with assessment of your claim being made within 48 hours of receiving your completed claim form. 

Since the introduction of our virtual aftercare appointments with our Service Manager, we have been able to help customers with adjustments and carry out virtual inspections that have allowed us to offer instant help and advice when you needed it most. These appointments have been so well received that we are pleased to announce that this key part of our service during lockdown will also remain in place in future.

Bereco Covid FAQ's

Bereco Ltd – Our Estimating team will endeavour to return your quote within the next 2-3 working days. If, however your enquiry is urgent please do let us know using the live chat on our website.

If you place your order today it will be passed to one of our Technical Project Managers; your Project Manager will contact you within 2 working days to finalise the window and door specification and then send through your Bereco order confirmation package for approval. 

Our current lead time remains 6-8 weeks from when the order is placed into production.

Got questions about the technical details of our windows; does your architect want more information about our products or do you want your architect to speak to us on your behalf? Call our experienced Technical team on 01709 838188 option 1, then option 2. They can talk you through the finer details of our windows and doors, and offer a guided tour of our resource centre and CAD and specification library.

We have also launched our new virtual service appointments. On a virtual service call our service manager can inspect, diagnose and suggest remedy to any issues you may need to overcome.

We appreciate that this may be a concerning time to be paying deposits for any products not just windows and doors. To give you some confidence on this we recommend checking the financial data available on Companies House where the balance sheets are readily available for all UK businesses. We also highly recommend making this part of your pre-selection process when choosing a supplier in future and choosing a company that has the most current posted accounts and positive net current assets and a liquidity ratio of 2.0 and higher. 

Whilst this data might not be up to the minute it’s a great indicator of a business’s ability to finance its day to day operation (so they won’t need your cash).
