Covid-19 Update & FAQ
Further to the latest announcements made by the government and the outlining of the 4-step roadmap out of lockdown we are pleased to outline our plans for reopening more aspects of our service, that were temporarily suspended during the lockdown.
Our offices reopened on Monday 11th May 2020 and whilst we have made some changes to the way in which we work to improve our service and introduced new procedures that ensure the safety of our staff and our customers we are still offering the same high quality timber windows and doors made from only sustainable 100% FSC certified wood and continue to do so on a 7 week lead time from order.
During our period of closure, we established new safe working practices that would allow us to return to operations. Practices and procedures that were implemented immediately upon our reopening. From Tuesday 4th May 2021 on site sales appointments with our Trade Sales Manager Paul Lyon-Hayes will once again be available. You can make an appointment for Paul to come to site and discuss your project by calling him directly on 07977 543620.
Our Rotherham showroom will also reopen on Tuesday 4th May 2021 and will be open going forward Monday to Friday from 9am until 4pm; if you wish to make an appointment to visit our showroom appointments are live and available on our website to book now.
Not ready for face to face just yet? Our virtual appointments are here to stay. You can still book a virtual meeting with our Trade Sales Manager; speak with a Technical Project Manager or book a home design appointment with one of our Home Improvement Design Consultants anytime from the Book an Appointment page on our website.
Our on-site service appointments will also recommence on Tuesday 4th May 2021. If you are awaiting a site visit from our customercare team they will be in touch with you to confirm your visit by Friday 9th April 2021.
The priority in reopening our home & site service visits remains the safety of our staff and you our customers so when scheduling appointments, we will be risk assessing each visit individually so we will ask you about any covid secure measures you have in place and advise you of our own covid secure measures that will need to be accommodated to allow the visit to go ahead as planned.
From Monday 19th April 2021 you will once again be able to collect your order direct from our head office depot. Collections will be available between 11am and 2pm daily and must be arranged with our Logistics Manager Simon Fisher with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice on 07703 829160.
If you are having your delivery to site, our deliveries will remain contactless until such as time as social distancing measures are completely removed so you won’t need to sign for your delivery; instead, your delivery driver will take a picture as proof of delivery on arrival.
At a time when visiting a showroom is the last thing on people’s minds we have launched and opened the doors to our new virtual showroom. Need to see or show a sample? What's new at Bereco
Our Rotherham showroom has been extended to include more of our timber window and door range. You can now see our Traditional Sash Windows, Lipped French Doors and Tilt and Turn Windows in our new showroom area. On Tuesday 6th April 2021 we will be introducing a new way of making a warranty claim. Our new warranty claim form will be available to complete online accessible from the Care & Advice section of our website. This new and improved part of our aftersales service will help us handle claims more efficiently with assessment of your claim being made within 48 hours of receiving your completed claim form.
Since the introduction of our virtual aftercare appointments with our Service Manager, we have helped over 50 customers with adjustments and carried out virtual inspections that have allowed us to offer instant help and advice when you needed it most. These appointments have been so well received that I’m pleased to announce that this key part of our service during lockdown will also remain in place in future.

In order to ensure you receive our best price we will now contact you to discuss your enquiry in more detail within 24 hours of receipt. I appreciate this is a busy time for everyone so if you would like to book a time that’s convenient for you to do so you can now schedule a video call with us to talk about the project.

If you place your order today it will be passed to one of our Technical Project Managers; your Project Manager will contact you within 2 working days to finalise the window and door specification and then send through your Bereco order confirmation package for approval.
Our current lead time remains 7 weeks. This may fluctuate subject to demand in the coming weeks but to ensure you have the most current up to date information this is being updated weekly on our website so please check back at regular intervals for our current lead time.

We appreciate that this may be a concerning time to be paying deposits for any products not just windows and doors. To give you some confidence on this we recommend checking the financial data available on Companies House where the balance sheets are readily available for all UK businesses. We also highly recommend making this part of your pre-selection process when choosing a supplier in future and choosing a company that has the most current posted accounts and positive net current assets and a liquidity ratio of 2.0 and higher.
Whilst this data might not be up to the minute it’s a great indicator of a business’s ability to finance its day to day operation (so they won’t need your cash).
