Our four stage finishing process of preservation, base coat and two top coats give softwood products a smooth finish and hardwood a pitted effect due to its open pore structure.

All our products are manufactured using FSC® 100% engineered laminated timber. We offer both redwood (Scots Pine) and hardwood (Dark Red Meranti) – both with the same extensive warranty. When comparing the two, our hardwood has a more of an open grain structure meaning it gives more of a textured finish, particularly when stained.
After the installation of your Bereco products, maintaining the weather resistance and water repellent properties of the coating is very important to keep your windows looking new and performing for years to come.
Finger jointed timber is used on Redwood products with a painted finish. This is a cost effective option and joints in the timber cannot be seen through the paint. Clear timber is used on all Hardwood products and on Redwood products with a stained finish. Clear faced timber ensures no grain change is visible through finger joints.
Engineered or multi-layered timber is used throughout our ranges and products. Opposing grain direction, combined with removal of the natural defects inherent in timber such as knots and shakes help add significant strength to product sections. Safe in the knowledge no defects are located around critical locations, engineered timber is also key to reducing the effects of warp and twist ensuring longevity and performance.
Softwood products are manufactured using defect free, laminated Scandinavian Pine with either a clear or finger jointed surface. Hardwood products are manufactured using defect free, laminated Dark Red Meranti with a clear surface.
Bereco is the only timber windows and door supplier in the UK with membership to the Bluesky Paint Application Scheme. Membership to the scheme is voluntary and demonstrates our continued commitment to supplying products that are factory finished to the highest possible standard.
