Covid-19 Update & FAQ
We hope you are safe and well in these most uncertain times and want to bring you up to speed with what we have been doing since our reopening and with what’s new at Bereco.
On the 21st October it was announced by the Health Minister that effective from Saturday 24th October 2020, South Yorkshire, where Bereco’s head office, showroom and warehouse are located, is going to be moving into Local Covid Alert Level 3; Very High Risk.
Despite this we remain open with only some temporary changes to our business coming into effect on Monday 26th October 2020 that will remain in place just until the alert level in our area is downgraded. Our office staff are working from home but you can still reach us on our normal phone lines.
It is with regret however that our onsite services and showroom & visits have been temporarily suspended but we will be back! In the mean time, if you have an already scheduled service appointment or await an appointment being confirmed by our sales or customercare team we will be contacting you in the coming days to organise a virtual appointment where possible or to see if we can assist you in other ways until such time as we feel it is safe to reinstate our face to face meetings.
Our offices reopened on Monday 11th May 2020 and whilst we have made some changes to the way in which we work to improve our service and introduced new procedures that ensure the safety of our staff and our customers we are still offering the same high quality timber windows and doors made from only sustainable 100% FSC certified wood and continue to do so on a 6-8 week lead time from order.
During our period of closure, we established new safe working practices that would allow us to return to operations. Practices and procedures that were implemented immediately upon our reopening. You can read more about how we are protecting our staff and customers here. If you would like to know more; we are more than happy to share our risk assessments with you just email Craig Morris at email@example.com
With the realities of remote working having set in over the last few weeks at Bereco we have made it easier and more convenient than ever for you to get in contact with us. You can now chat to us via the live chat on our website, call us, email us, fax us and you can now video call us at a time that is convenient for you using our online video call appointment booking system.
At a time when visiting a showroom is the last thing on people’s minds last week we launched and opened the doors to our new virtual showroom. Need to see or show a sample to a client? by using our virtual showroom you can. Each product in the showroom links easily to the product pages of our website where you can find further information on the products and the options available to show your customers.
If you have embraced using video calling already in your business why not check if you can screen share with clients and take them on a guided tour of the showroom? If you are unsure or not feeling confident just yet and would like to see how this would work make an appointment with our sales team via the home page of our website and we can give you the guided tour.

We appreciate that this may be a concerning time to be paying deposits for any products not just windows and doors. To give you some confidence on this we recommend checking the financial data available on Companies House where the balance sheets are readily available for all UK businesses. We also highly recommend making this part of your pre-selection process when choosing a supplier in future and choosing a company that has the most current posted accounts and positive net current assets and a liquidity ratio of 2.0 and higher.
Whilst this data might not be up to the minute it’s a great indicator of a business’s ability to finance its day to day operation (so they won’t need your cash).
