FOR THE LATEST PLEASE VISIT:
As the UK continues to increase preventative measures to deal with the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and our daily lives become further disrupted we have been assessing the potential impact on our business and I would like to share with you a number of measures that are being introduced with immediate effect to ensure that our business and that of you our customers will continue both now, during and after this time.
We remain open
Our business, offices and depot will continue to stay open. You can continue to contact us by phone or by email or via the live chat on our website Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. At this time however we have suspended appointments at our showroom until further notice. Should we need to leave our premises for any reason in the coming weeks we have a team of key members of staff dedicated to remote working who you remain able to contact by phone, or email through the normal contact numbers.
All future deliveries we make will be performed on a contactless basis. If you have a delivery due in the coming weeks, we will continue to contact you as normal with a delivery day, the week before the delivery is scheduled. A further call will be made by our office to ensure you continue to be able to accept the imminent delivery upon loading and then driver will call an hour in advance on the day. Upon arrival our drivers will unload your order as instructed by you and will leave a copy of the paperwork with your delivery, they will sign, date and photograph the goods as received so you don’t have to come into physical contact with them. Should you receive a delivery from us by courier we use DPD whom are also carrying out deliveries in this same way to ensure you can remain at distance from others.
Site services suspended
From Monday 23rd March 2020 we will be suspending all our aftercare and site visits in response to the latest advice from the government and their recommendations for social distancing to aid in the protection of those most vulnerable in our society. Our engineers work nationally which increases the exposure for our employees working in this field and protecting the health of our staff and customers at this time remains our highest priority. We will review the governments advice on social gathering and interaction weekly and will continue to keep you informed of when we can reinstate these services.
Current orders being manufactured
For those customers with orders in production with us currently that are due for delivery before 30th April 2020 we continue to manufacture your order as normal and planned. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to accept requests for delays to deliveries into May and beyond. If you have an order into production with us currently and cannot accept your delivery by 30th April 2020, we would ask you to contact our logistics team as a matter of urgency. We will be contacting all customers with an order in manufacturing with us to discuss this in the coming days.
Importing our windows
Since my last letter a number of customers have contacted me to ask if we have any delays or barriers to imports I would also like to assure all of our customers that the borders in Europe and the UK currently remain open for professional freight carrying goods including our windows and doors and we as a result continue to report no current delays to provided delivery dates.
Manufacturing New Orders for delivery in May
With the uncertainty surrounding future increased measures for social distancing and isolation and the potential disruption to the construction sector and window replacement markets that will undoubtedly follow this, we have taken the decision to temporarily suspend the manufacturing of any new orders that will be required for delivery in May. Whilst this may cause some disruption, we feel this is the right decision and that it is taking actions such as these that will ensure we continue to be in business after this pandemic gripping the world is behind us. We continue to send orders to production until Friday 20th March 2020 for any of our customers who require delivery by 30th April 2020. Again, we will be reviewing this weekly and will continue to keep you informed in this regard.
Whilst we are suspending deliveries in May we continue to provide quotations for future projects and are continuing to accept new orders for the future that we will continue to handle in the normal way providing a sales confirmation for your approval.
We are in unprecedented times indeed but we assure you that we will continue to make decisions that we feel are right for the benefit of our customers, our staff and those that will ensure the longevity of our business.
