Bereco Windows on Channel 4 Restoration Man
The two bedroomed cottage had never been lived in being a working corn mill, was used for animal feeds up to 1950’s, was derelict and had rumours of paranormal activity. Margaret has been working alongside the Channel 4’s Restoration programme for nearly 2 years and Bereco have supplied all the windows for the project.
“The windows had to be the right quality and texture to compliment the mill. Now they have been fitted I am delighted as they look fantastic. The colour and style blends in beautifully with the building. Everyone I have dealt with at Bereco has been so helpful – they certainly had the knowledge to help me through all the Grade II listing restrictions.
There were 28 planning restrictions to satisfy plus we needed to respond to the strict criteria of the conservation officers as well. All the windows have been custom made and designed with thin frames – the mill overlooks the river and has outstanding views so maximum viewing area was a must!”
