Bereco Sliding Sash Achieves Outstanding Weather Rating
All products were tested to BS6375, rating weather performance of windows and providing a classification for weather tightness. All testing was undertaken by independent accreditation body BM Trada and covers three key areas; air tightness, water tightness and wind resistance.
Sliding Sash windows are often associated with inferior weather ratings in comparison to traditional style casement windows due to their vertical opening operation and levels of gasket compression. The Bereco Sliding Sash window offers a solution, combining period style design with the highest weather ratings available in timber Sliding Sash today. Higher ratings are achieved through exacting manufacturing techniques and the use of additional gaskets around the sash.
The Bereco Sliding Sash design achieved the highest classification achievable with a UK Exposure Category of 2000, 600pa (class 3) for Air permeability, 250pa water tightness and 0.8 air leakage.
