Introducing the BM TRADA Q Mark Paint Application
Bereco are one of only 3 manufacturers in the whole of the UK with membership to the voluntary scheme which demonstrates our continued commitment to providing high quality products.
In addition to enhancing the aesthetical appearance of a window or door it is critical for the longevity of any timber product that the correct coating systems are used. The BM TRADA Q Mark Paint Application scheme not only ensures the best possible coating system is used but also that the paint is applied using the correct tools, in the right environment, by personnel that are trained to the highest standards. The scheme is designed to enable companies to demonstrate that they have chosen a suitable paint system for their product and that all elements of the paint process are fully documented.
The scheme requires the paint system used to be ‘fit for purpose’, meaning it must be a suitable finish for the specific product the paint is being applied to. We use a high quality TEKNOS Gori coating paint system, specifically designed for wooden windows and doors to protect against potential problems including surface mould and paint discolouration. All paint products and systems used are EN approved and meet relevant European Standards. Teknos mirrors Bereco’s commitment to environmentally responsible practices and work in accordance with REACH (Registration & authorisation of chemicals) – the safe production, use and disposal of chemicals.
The scheme offers homeowners peace of mind that a high quality paint system has been consistently used to apply the painted finish to all windows and doors. Our factories are subject to routine audits that monitor procedures throughout the paint application process are fully documented and paint is applied by fully trained staff. The scheme requires the paint system used to be ‘fit for purpose’, meaning it must be a suitable finish for the specific product the paint is being applied to. Several fundamental areas of the paint application process are tested during the audit to ensure critical requirements outlined in the scheme continue to be met.
The complete paint process is monitored from component preparation through to final product inspection and storage of the end product. This ensures that all staff involved in the painting process are appropriately trained and fully competent in all aspects of the application process. Specific requirements must be met in the paint area such as in-line & filter checks, cleanliness, humidity, temperature and extraction.
The high quality of all coatings and the paint system used across our entire product range means we are able to offer finished products with extensive 10 year warranties on factory coatings.
