Bi-fold door features

Totally bespoke

Our bi-fold doors stack either to the left or the right of the door frame, are available in 25 different configurations with up to 10 door leaves and can span up to 10 metres wide and up to 2.5 metres tall.

Flex to fit your way of living

Our unique floating door system means you can move your door leaves from stacking left to stack right and vice versa, perfect for when it comes time for redecorating and a change of furnishings.

Make it a match

Our timber bi-fold doors can be customised with either contemporary or traditional mouldings and bars, sculpted panels and handles to match other windows and doors in our range.

Add a splash of colour

Our bi-fold doors are factory finished using the most environmentally friendly water-based paint or stain. Choose from any RAL Classic, RAL Design, NCS and BS colour charts, or match to Farrow & Ball, Earthborn or Fired Earth colour collections.

With single or dual colour options, you can create the perfect match to the exterior facade and interior decor of the property.

Secure in their design

Bereco timber folding doors are tested and certified to the latest enhanced security standard PAS24:2016 and are certified by Secured by Design. Our secure designs feature tamper-proof flush bolts and hinges, multipoint espagnolette locks, 3-star Neighbourhood Watch Approved cylinder locks and laminated P2A security level glazing.

The finest components

We use the Brio folding door hardware system on all our timber bi-fold doors. Made from corrosion resistance tested stainless steel, the wheels, runners, hinges and drop bolts are robust and neatly concealed fitting flush to the door leaves for a flawless finish.

Handles and locks

On our timber bi-fold doors, you can choose from 2 locking systems. The first has lockable flush bolts and comes without handles, meaning the doors cannot be accessed externally.

The second is a lever handle operated espagnolette that comes with handles internally and externally, giving access to the doors from both the inside and outside.

Obscure Glazing

Glazing is an important design element for any project and can make all the difference when creating a feature window or door. A variety of obscure glazing patterns are available with different designs offering varying privacy levels (rated 1-5 with 5 being the highest level).

Bi-fold doors FAQ's

We can supply the folding door frame for site assembly should you need, but we can transport pre-assembled frames with loose door leaves up to a maximum size of 9 metres wide and 2.5metres in height, and would always recommend doing so.
Yes, all our bi-fold doors with more than 2 doors leaves are supplied loose of the frame with all fittings securely strapped to the frame on delivery.
We do not currently offer an opening in system on our folding doors.
Our folding doors are top hung meaning the head carries the load, so structural support needs to be considered. Any structural support must be calculated by a structural engineer based on the weight of the door. The weight of the doors can be found in our quotations and sales confirmations.
You can, but as our folding doors are top hung, there will need to be sufficient structural support provided between the folding door frame and the fanlight.
