The
scheme is unique as it gives peace of mind that our windows
are always high performance and high quality. To achieve TRADA
accreditation Bereco windows have to pass the following:
• Design Appraisals
This verifies that the window is designed to ensure longevity. Particular attention is given to drainage channels, preservatives used, end grain protection and paint coverage.
• Audit Testing
• Initial types of testing and verification of Durability of Components to BS644
• Weather Performance to BS6375 Part 1 - Highest Category
• Thermal Performance BSEN ISO 10077 - 1.8 or lower
• Operational Strength and Durability to BS6375 Part 2
• A representative sample from each range is tested to 20,000 cycles to prove the durability to prEN 12400
• Enhanced Security BS7950
Although the testing is carried out in TRADA’s UKAS test houses, the product is uniquely tested on Bereco’s production line on a regular basis giving peace of mind that high specification and performance will always be produced. The requirements to become a member of the scheme are such that only the highest performing windows in the UK are eligible. Performance levels are well in excess of current UK standards ensuring that the life span of the window is at its greatest, whilst reducing lifetime costs ‘best value’ in the process.
