Bereco World Land Trust Donation Scheme
Bereco has always been at the forefront of wooden window and door manufacturing, in the performance, security and thermal efficiency of our windows and doors. We are keen supporters of environmental schemes; were founding members of the One Planets Products buying group and remain still one of very few companies within the fenestration industry supplying FSC 100% timber.
With this ethos the driver Bereco have entered into a corporate sponsorship agreement with World Land Trust to help them raise funds to support their vital conservation work around the world.
How it works
When ordering with us we will from 3rd of July 2017 be asking if you would like to make a donation to WLT of just 1% of the net value of your order and with the option to state a contribution amount we will let you choose just how much to donate. ANY DONATIONS MADE BY YOU WILL THEN BE MATCHED BY BERECO and paid to the World Land Trust monthly by us.
Once final payments have been made we will send you a certificate, thanking you for your donation.
In addition our contribution to the scheme is taking pride of place in the form of a counter on our homepage; we have started counting down from our 1000 acre goal and will report monthly in our news on the total amounts paid to World Land Trust.

£100 = 1 Acre
Every £100 raised by us and our customers will buy 1 acre or 4,000 square meters of land for preservation and conservation in areas where it is urgently needed.
We have pledged and set a target to raise £100,000 a year for the WLT enough to purchase 1000 acres or 4,000,000 square meters of land at risk.
Environmental and sustainability issues are important to us and it is this corporate responsibility that has always been at the heart of everything we do.
Who are World Land Trust?
World Land Trust (WLT) are an international conservation charity, which protects the world’s most biologically important and threatened habitats acre by acre. Since its foundation in 1989, World Land Trust has funded local partner organisations around the world to create reserves, and give permanent protection to existing mature forests, habitats and to wildlife.
Patrons of the scheme include: Sir David Attenborough, Chris Packham, Steve Backshall and David Gower.
“The money that is given to the World Land Trust, in my estimation, has more effect on the wild world than almost anything I can think of.”
Sir David Attenborough speaking at a lecture in January 2012
Buy An Acre
Pioneering the ‘Buy an Acre’ concept of buying land for conservation, World Land Trust and its project partners have been instrumental in the purchase and protection of more than 600,000 acres of tropical forest and other threatened habitats, and together ensure that more than four million acres of land are managed under active protection worldwide.
Donations to ‘Buy and Acre’ go to local partners in areas such as Argentina, Ecuador and Mexico to secure acres of land where the rainforest is gradually disappearing to create permanently protected nature reserves.
